Birmingham based meeting, training and events venue group thestudio has announced it has teamed up with Sandbox VR to deliver innovative virtual reality team experiences to their clients in the centre of the city.
Sandbox is a futuristic virtual reality experience where guests can see and physically interact with everyone inside a virtual world just like you do in reality. Inspired by Star Trek’s Holodeck, these exclusive worlds give guests the experience of completing activities and challenges, just as if you are a real life character within the game or movie.
Guests have the opportunity to try a range of experiences from competing with each other in Netflix’s Squid Game, being part of the Starfleet in Star Trek, fighting zombies in Deadwood Valley or hunting down the long lost treasure in the Curse of Davy Jones.
These original worlds are exclusive to Sandbox and designed by their own in house game development team to be experienced together with others. This helps to develop and strengthen relationships with colleagues and create a memory you will share for a long time to come!

Our all inclusive Day Delegate Rate offers all your guests will need for a balanced and delicious days catering and as it is chefs choice gives you one less thing to think about on the day! This package comes with the following inclusions: Hire of your main meeting room, Projector & screen or LED screen in meeting room, Complimentary Wi-Fi in all spaces, Lectern & lectern microphone (in larger spaces only), 2 handheld microphones (in larger spaces only), 1 Flipchart, Filtered still and sparkling water, Selection of cordials, Unlimited bean to cup and filter coffee, speciality teas, hot chocolate, Delicious snacks are provided throughout the day, including pastries and homemade banana loaf on arrival, mid morning studio flapjack and mini muffins and afternoon studio baked cookies and tray baked cakes along with a Chefs Choice Hot Fork Buffet Lunch. As always our delicious daily menu will cater for gluten free, dairy free and vegan requirements.

You’re welcome to drive up to thestudiobirmingham via Temple Row/Cherry Street onto Cannon street to unload and collect items for/from events. The best time to do this is between 8am-10am and from 6pm onwards. At any other time we are classed as a pedestrian zone therefore ticket wardens may be in operation.
