RORP encourages the study and advancement of obstetrics and gynaecology through education, training and the publication of clinical guidelines and reports to improve women’s health in the UK and across the world.
WOW - Wellbeing of Women
The official Charity of the RCOG, WOW is a charity that raises money to improve women’s health in the UK through,
• Research to develop better gynaecological treatments
• The Support of Specialist Training to improve Doctor’s effectiveness
• The Provision of Education for Women and their health.
In fifty years WOW has contributed towards many developments including, baby and pregnancy scans, IVF and pain relief during child birth and is working on a cure for Ovarian Cancer and preventative measures for miscarriages and premature birth.
SMILE (Saving Mothers’ and Infants Lives through Education)
RORP is committed to the 10:10 Campaign and drew up its first Green Charter in March 2009 and is committed to reducing energy consumption by 10% by the end of this year. Last year it achieved, a 5% reduction in electricity consumption, saved 18 trees by recycling & shredding confidential paperwork and reduced overall paper consumption by 47%
