Edgbaston Stadium named as one of Top 50 Meeting Venues in Europe

Edgbaston Stadium, home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, has been named as one of the Top 50 Meeting Venues in Europe by Venue Directory.

Ranked 49th out of 44,000 venues across the UK and Europe in the inaugural list of best meeting venues from Venue Directory, the Stadium is the only Midlands sporting venue to be announced as part of the list, recognising its exceptional venue credentials and partnership-first approach.

The ranking secures Edgbaston Stadium’s coveted spot on the globally recognised ‘Top 50 Meeting Venues’ list on the Venue Directory platforms. Its inclusion reflects its commitment to delivering exceptional corporate event experiences and exceeding client expectations.

The inaugural list from Cvent-owned Venue Directory ranks top-performing Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) hotels and venues that prioritise planner collaboration to ensure business event success.

Edgbaston Stadium Extends Partnership with PSP as Official AV Providers

PSP has renewed its agreement with Edgbaston Stadium, securing a further two years as the venue’s Official AV Provider. This extension builds on an already successful 18-month partnership during which PSP has delivered technical support across a wide range of events. It reflects the strength of the relationship between the two teams and a shared commitment to providing high-quality event experiences for clients and guests at the stadium.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Edgbaston Stadium as their Official AV Provider for another two years. Over the past 18 months, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the fantastic team at Edgbaston, delivering some unforgettable events. With the planned redevelopment of two stands and the addition of a 146-room Radisson RED hotel, the stadium is entering an incredibly exciting new chapter and we’re proud to be part of it,” said David Woodcock, Managing Director at PSP.

Since being appointed as Edgbaston’s AV partner, PSP has supported a wide range of events at the stadium. The team provides all aspects of technical delivery on site, working closely with the Edgbaston Events team and their clients to ensure each event runs smoothly.

The renewed agreement enables PSP to continue supporting Edgbaston’s diverse events calendar — from conferences and awards dinners to matchday press conferences. PSP’s focus remains on delivering clear communication, dependable service, and tailored technical solutions to meet the needs of every event.

Edgbastons Head of C&E Sales Joins Stadium Experiences Leadership Team

Stadium Experience has grown it’s Leadership Team by welcoming two new faces – Angela Sanders from Edgbaston Stadium, and Helen Tully from Norwich City FC.  They join a team of experienced industry volunteers who guide the management of Stadium Experience – a not-for-profit association, which now works with over 70 major football, rugby and cricket venues across the UK, and saw a 38% increase in venue membership in 2024.

About Angela Sanders…Angela has spent the last 20 years in the conference and events industry, working with top hotel brands like Hilton, IHG, and Copthorne, as well as venues such as etc.venues and Gloucester Rugby.  Now, as Head of Conference and Events Sales at Edgbaston Stadium – home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Birmingham Bears, and Birmingham Phoenix – she is passionate about creating exceptional event experiences.  Working closely with Edgbaston’s catering partner, Compass, Angela ensures that events not only deliver outstanding service but also offer high-quality experiences.  With a deep passion for revenue, data, and industry trends, Angela is committed to helping stadia understand the value of revenue optimisation and how data-driven decisions can drive success.

Corporate Responsibility

Increase the use of Edgbaston facilities by engaging with all sections of the community. We aim to operate the Club and Stadium in a socially responsible manner and become the most sustainable major cricket stadium in the country. In addition to this, we aim to improve and maintain the level of employee satisfaction by the Club or one of its main partners. This will be measured by conducting and acting upon regular employee surveys whilst increasing the level of investment in training and development.

We have developed a comprehensive CSR policy and strategy that is reviewed by the Club's Management Committee and the board on a regular basis. This policy looks at our carbon footprint, environmental sustainability, ethical responsibility, engaging with wider communities, contributing to society as well as the overall corporate social responsibility.

Cancellation Policy

For Instant Book, a Moderate Cancellation Policy offers the following:
  • Guests can cancel up to 15 days before the event for a full refund.
  • If cancellation occurs between 14 – 8 days before the event, a 50% refund is given.
  • No refund and full charges apply if cancelled within 7 days of the event.
