Description

The Castle Hotel, centrally located in the heart of Windsor is a prestigious setting for meetings, conferences and networking events. The self-contained conference centre offers 10 flexible meeting rooms suitable for 4 to 400 delegates with a dedicated breakout area, multiple breakout rooms and garden area for private hire. The grand Windsor Suite, the largest ballroom in Windsor can accommodate up to 400 guests in theatre style and 300 in banquet style. 

Due to our refurbishment our restuarant will be closed until late summer 2026. During this time breakfast will be served in our meeting and event space and catering can be arranged. 

Easily accessible the hotel is close to junction 6 of the M4, 10 miles from Heathrow Airport and less than an hour by train to Central London. The hotel benefits from onsite car parking including EV charging. This will be limited during the refurbishment. Please let us know your requirements so we can arrange alternatives.

The Castle Hotel Windsor to undergo exciting £9.5 million transformation

We are delighted to announce that The Castle Hotel Windsor is embarking on an exciting refurbishment programme to further enhance our historic property and guest experience. 

Sutton Hotel Collection has announced a £9.5 million refurbishment of The Castle Hotel Windsor, to be completed in 2026. The multi-phase transformation led by interior designers including 3DReid will start in November 2025

Starting with the Mews and bedrooms in the original hotel, and concluding with the Park Wing, the refresh will also involve a redesign of the ground floor and the launch of a new British brasserie concept in the restaurant. A significant aspect of the investment includes the team which will be increased and developed to deliver an enhanced guest service. The programme will run throughout 2026 with completion scheduled towards the end of 2026.From 3rd November through to 22nd June, the hotel will remain open with our Meetings & Events facilities fully operational and available for bookings. Our dedicated team will continue to deliver the highest standard of service to ensure your events run smoothly. What to expect during this period: The Mews and Main House bedrooms will be out of service, with limited availability in the Park Wing. Our restaurant and bar will be closed. Breakfast will be served daily in The Balmoral, which will also serve as a lounge and bar space for resident guests in the afternoon. From early November, reception will relocate to the Meetings & Events entrance. Guest access will be via a covered pathway through the terrace from the High Street. The garden will remain closed. Limited or no on-site parking will be available. All upstairs meeting and event rooms remain open and fully available to book. While certain areas of the hotel will be out of service, this project marks a significant investment in the future of The Castle Hotel Windsor, and we are excited to unveil the results in June 2026. We thank you for your continued support during this period of transformation and look forward to welcoming you and your delegates to the hotel.

For every delegate on a green meeting package we will plant a tree through our partnership with More:Trees.

Directions

The Castle Hotel is conveniently accessible for both local and international visitors. Heathrow airport can be reached in 15 minutes by car, and Windsor & Eton Central tarin staiton is 800m from the hotel. Delegates can reach London Paddington or London Waterloo in a little under an hour. Excellent roads to Windsor are accessible via the M4.

- Less than 7 days before the start of the Event: 100% of the Total Event Charges.

For any Event of more than 31 Participants:
- Up to 365 days before the first day of the Event: no cancellation charge;
- Between 364 and 180 days before the first day of the Event: 50% of the Total Event Charges;
- Between 179 and 60 days before the first day of the Event: 80% of the Total Event Charges;

- Between 59 and 30 days before the first day of the Event: 90% of the Total Event Charges;
- Less than 29 days before the start of the Event: 100% of the Total Event Charges.
