Ideally located just off the M6 with free parking, handy for Preston and Manchester, the 4 Star Macdonald Tickled Trout combines rural charm with city centre facilities. Ten well-equipped and stylish meeting rooms, each with natural daylight, are found in a self-contained conference centre and are easily adapted to suit your event requirements. For larger events, our delightful Samlesbury and River Suites overlook the River Ribble and offer various configurations and sizes. Six boardrooms, capable of accommodating from six to 16 people, are stylish and tranquil, and can also be used as Syndicate rooms for larger conferences or meetings. Free and unlimited WiFi throughout – with the option of adding extra bandwidth – plus audio visual and IT equipment and rooms bathed in natural light means your training event, seminar or conference goes according to plan.

Cancellation Policy

For Instant Book, a Moderate Cancellation Policy offers the following:
  • Guests can cancel up to 15 days before the event for a full refund.
  • If cancellation occurs between 14 – 8 days before the event, a 50% refund is given.
  • No refund and full charges apply if cancelled within 7 days of the event.
