We are committed to reducing energy consumption through practical measures across the hotel. The majority of our lighting is LED, with only limited use of compact fluorescent bulbs in specific areas (excluding kitchen heat lamps). Energy-rated appliances are used wherever possible, and heating, cooling, and utilities are regularly monitored to ensure efficient use. External lighting operates on dawn and dusk sensors to avoid unnecessary usage.
Heath Court Hotel actively supports the local community by assisting schools and community groups with raffle prizes for fundraising. We are involved with Love Newmarket (Newmarket BID) and initiatives supporting those on lower incomes. As the home of the Newmarket Branch of the Royal British Legion and the Newmarket Rotary Club, we provide free room hire, prizes, and discounted food to support their activities. Our focus is local, with scope to support national charities in future.
