Since the building’s original construction in 1837, it has gone through several transformations – including a department store, tea rooms and most recently “Legends”, a famous nightclub where paparazzi could be found snapping footballers falling out of its doors in the early hours.
Now as Everyman Newcastle, guests can expect to step through the discreet doorway to a rich timber-lined entrance and down a festoon-lit walkway to the welcoming lounge bar and auditoriums. The lounge bar is an open, warm and inviting space with walls lined in walnut panelling, velvet covered seating and parquet flooring.
A full kitchen offering is available, delivering Everyman trademark burgers, pizzas and snacks.
The cinema features 4 auditoriums; from an intimate 37 seater up to a larger 80 seater, each with their own unique style.
