Please note that Prince Philip House will be temporarily closed from 15 December 2025 to the end of February 2026 for essential upgrades to our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems.

This important work will enhance our energy efficiency and ensure an even better experience for our guests.

While we’re unable to host events during this time, we’d be delighted to explore dates from March 2026 onwards and welcome you back to our newly upgraded venue.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at heart of everything we do at Prince Philip House. From energy saving to sustainable and seasonal menus - we continue to strive for improvements on how we treat our nature and environment. As members of SRA, we minimise food waste by using the greenest supply chain and sourcing our produce responsibly.

Corporate Responsibility

The Royal Academy of Engineering acknowledges its responsibility and commitment to minimise the impact of its activities on the environment as an intrinsic part of its ambition to harness the power of engineering to build a sustainable society and inclusive economy that works for everyone.

We partner with Commercial UK whom we purchase all our consumables from. Commercial UK have minimised their purchasing and
therefore distribution of “Single Use Plastics” and we, here at the Royal Academy of Engineering, reap the benefit of this. We also
have the Planet Mark sustainability certification.

We have adopted environmentally friendly methods of production to ensure our food waste in our kitchens and from events is minimal. We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, and we are actively promoting our chef’s choice menus that
support sustainability and reduce food waste.
