Description

“Where history meets sustainability, and service meets excellence”
BMA House is a stunning Grade II listed building; home to the British Medical Association and centrally located in fashionable Bloomsbury London. This beautiful red brick building was designed in 1911 by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The design is neo-classical Palladian and incorporates Portland Stone facades, grand Archways, stone Corinthian Columns and Westmorland slate roofs. The building is centred on a courtyard with memorial fountain. Furthermore a private garden with pond can be found to the rear of the building; and provides a tranquil outdoor space for Events. The Garden is also famous for being the grounds to the house of Sir Charles Dickens where he is said to have written some of his most famous novels. BMA House underwent major refurbishment, completed in 2008, to lovingly restore its rooms in keeping with their original design and Grade II listed heritage

Corporate Responsibility

BMA House places sustainability at the heart of everything we do, which has won us a Gold award in Green Tourism in 2017, just one of a few venues in London. Other sustainability awards include ‘Greenest Venue’ by Hire Space in 2018, ‘Most Sustainable Venue’ by the London Summer Event Show in 2019, and most recently a Silver award for ‘Best CSR or Sustainability Initiative’ at the London Venues Awards. We now place ourselves up with the capital’s finest green venues! These prestigious certifications were awarded for our inspirational environmental ethos and excellent practices throughout the business. We are incredibly proud of these achievements and always strive to support sustainable events by sharing our expert knowledge each step of the way, and further contributing to the events industry’s green needs. We still have a way to go before we are fully sustainable but choose us as your venue for your next event and you’ll expect to find upgraded PIR and LED based lighting around the
