The Civic Centre is based in Chelmsford City Centre situated next the bus station and is just a minute walk from the railway station. We have a wide range of high quality rooms of all sizes to meet both large and small-scale events. Meetings with up to 10 delegates are ideally suited to the Christy Room, and for larger meetings we have the recently refurbished and modernised both the Crompton & Marconi Room. Our Council Chamber provides a modern, flexible and fully accessible space. We have a floorspace that can have various setups and an auditorium which takes the seating up to 200. State of the art audio-visual installations with large built in projector screens and also a built in sound system with speakers in the ceiling for a perfect distribution of sound. In addition to the rooms for hire, the Civic Foyer is ideal for pre-event drinks, as a meet-and-greet area or as an information display area.

The nearest railway station is Chelmsford Station and is less than a five minute walk from the Civic Centre. The nearest Park and Ride stop is on Victoria Road outside the railway station.
