The Queens Hotel & Spa has reopened following a £2 million refurbishment and the appointment of a new General Manager to lead operations and guest services.
Located just five minutes from the seafront in Bournemouth, the hotel has appointed Louis Rigney, who brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience, to oversee the newly renovated property.
Rigney said: “This is a pivotal time for Queens Hotel & Spa as we welcome guests back to the newly renovated hotel, reinforcing our commitment to delivering a gold-standard level of service. I have lived in Christchurch for 12 years and, together with my team, look forward to showcasing the best that Bournemouth has to offer.”
Following the refurbishment, the hotel now offers 109 bedrooms across six room types, alongside upgraded spa and wellness facilities, refurbished event spaces and improved gardens.
The Purbeck Suite, a popular space for conferences and private dinners, has also been refurbished, while the leisure club has been enhanced with a refreshed gym, upgraded changing rooms and new treatment rooms.
Switch Hospitality Management said Rigney’s experience in delivering high-quality customer service made him the ideal person to lead the hotel through its reopening.
Managing director John Angus added: “We are proud to reveal the results of our extensive refurbishment programme, with Louis leading the team to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.”
