The Holiday Inn Aylesbury holds the IHG Green Engage

Corporate Responsibility

Our aim is to reduce our use of the planet’s resources, encourage positive change in our colleagues, customers and partners, and make a positive impact on local and global communities and on the environment.
Waste:Since 2017, we’re proud to have removed 2 million pieces of single-use plastic per year, continuing to exclude them from the supply chain where possible.  
We have already switched over 70 products from single-use plastic to recyclable or compostable materials, with a view to increase this further.  
Energy:100% of the electricity we consume is sourced from renewable energy. 
The majority of our hotels have a combined heat & power (CHP) production unit which reduces emissions by up to 30% and is recognised by the government as an energy efficient device. 
Over 50% of the light fittings we use are LED, with the continued rollout focussing on car parks and lobbies where lights can burn resource for many hours.
