Highgate House Announces Northampton Hope Centre as its Charity of the Year
Highgate House in Creaton, Northamptonshire has chosen the Northampton Hope Centre as its Charity of the Year 2018/19.
The charity has been providing support for disadvantaged and homeless people in Northampton for over 40 years. Alongside its day centre, food initiatives and campaigning, the charity provides various training and development opportunities to enable their clients to re-integrate into mainstream society.
As its Charity of the Year, Highgate House has donated £200 to the centre and will be organising various fundraising activities throughout the year, as well as providing voluntary support. It will also be running a raffle at its upcoming outdoor cinema events this summer, with proceeds going to the charity.
Tanya Haji-Miller, Community Fundraiser at the Hope Centre said:
"We are really excited to be working with Highgate House. The support of local business is vital to enable us to continue our work of helping the homeless and vulnerable in our community."
Highgate House Wins Silver at Prestigious Meetings Awards
Sundial Group’s Northamptonshire hotel, Highgate House, has won two Silver awards at the 2018 Meeting and Incentive Travel (M&IT) Industry Awards.
Held on Friday 2nd March at Battersea Evolution in London, the M&IT Awards are recognised as the Oscars of the meetings industry and are voted for entirely by customers.
Family-owned and run, Highgate House scooped Silver in two highly competitive categories, for Best UK Management Training Centre and Best Value for Money Conference Venue. The venue has been awarded in these categories consistently for the past five years.

Highgate House Awarded for Sustainability Initiatives
Highgate House in Northamptonshire has achieved the Green Star Certification for 2018 from IACC as a result of its commitment to sustainability.
Highgate House is amongst just five venues internationally that has received the highest Platinum status after achieving 100% of IACC'S rigorous Code of Sustainability. The Code includes 60 tenets in areas such as waste management, recycling, purchasing, energy management and food and beverage.
The highly rated certification is testament to the venue's ongoing dedication to protecting the environment, embarking on many sustainability initiatives including extensive recycling, conserving energy and reducing food waste.
By signing the Code of Sustainability, Highgate House has agreed to support IACC’s Environmental Policy, to adopt the tenets of the code, and join other members of the association to continually strive for greater sustainability.
Highgate House Scoops 3 Nominations at Prestigious Meetings Awards
Highgate House in Northamptonshire is thrilled to have received three nominations at the prestigious 2018 Meetings and Incentive Travel (M&IT) Industry Awards.
The Sundial Group venue has been shortlisted for Best Value for Money Conference Venue, Best UK Management Training Centre and Best Conference and Banqueting Staff.
The M&IT Awards programme is the oldest in the meetings arena and sets the standard for the industry. Recognising and rewarding excellence, the awards are the result of customer voting, in particular event organisers.

Highgate House Chef Crowned Northamptonshire’s ‘Young Chef of the Year’
Victoria Austin, Chef de Partie at Highgate House in Creaton, has been crowned ‘Young Chef of the Year’ at the Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards 2017/18.
Victoria, aged 21, scooped first place in the ‘Booker Young Chef of the Year’ category at the glittering awards dinner held on Wednesday 15th November at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate.
The judges praised Victoria on her ‘professional and calm approach’ and said that ‘the combination of flavours in her refined panna cotta, served with poached plums and a ginger snap biscuit, was the title clincher.’
The competition, now in its ninth year, is aimed at celebrating all that is great about Northamptonshire produce and drink, recognising excellence within the county’s dining venues and rewarding those who work hard within the culinary sector.
Highgate House Earns TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 7th Year in a Row
Highgate House in Northamptonshire has earned a 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in recognition of providing exceptional customer service, an accolade received now for seven consecutive years.
Celebrating excellence in hospitality, the Certificate of Excellence is awarded to businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor in the past year, and is only given to establishments that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.
