The Grand Brighton preview refreshed façade in first-look video
Due for completion later this year, the hotel’s famous 154 year-old exterior has seen major refurbishment resulting in new windows, restoration of balconies and rendering to its seafront façade, refreshing the face of this iconic Brighton landmark.
The hotel continues to maintain its impactful status in the Brighton and national meetings markets with its progressive ethos, delivering a contemporary take on hospitality for conferences, meetings and live events.
Andrew Mosley, general manager at The Grand Brighton, comments: “We are so pleased to be able to share this preview video and give people a glimpse of the ambitions façade renovation so far. As we head to the final stages of this exciting investment project, we are very much looking forward to fully unveiling our façade to the community and the industry as a whole, celebrating our incredible hotel that truly is ‘like no other’!”
The Grand Brighton and Richmond Hill Hotel hold June Wellbeing Month
The Grand Brighton and sister property Richmond Hill Hotel have held a dedicated month of wellbeing activity, throughout June 2018. With the hospitality and events industry cited as one of the most stressful to work in, the hotels encouraged employees, industry peers and guests alike to take stock of current habits and find simple adjustments to improve wellbeing day to day.
Utilising social media, The Grand Brighton kicked off the campaign by releasing ‘digital mindfulness’ tips giving realistic and valuable advice on how to manage and become more aware of time spent online, without pressure to eliminate it altogether – something increasingly difficult in today’s tech-reliant society.
Clients and friends of the hotels were also treated to personal visits by the team, with deliveries of wellbeing treats including healthy fruit smoothies, complete with branded reusable metal straws.
The Grand Brighton retains MIA’s Gold Standard AIM accreditation
The Grand Brighton has maintained the prestigious Meetings Industry Association’s (MIA) AIM Gold accredita-tion for the 6th year. As the UK’s nationally-recognised mark of excellence for accredited venues in the MICE industry, the hotel underwent extensive assessment to ensure they met a comprehensive checklist of criteria and were found to exceed their targets.
Highlighted in The Grand Brighton’s assessment was the hotel’s commitment to improving and upgrading its facilities, alongside the strong brand values held by every staff member. The venue’s ongoing environmental commitments in line with its Corporate Responsibility Policy were also recognised - the hotel proudly holds a gold standard award from Green Tourism and has a 0% waste to landfill accreditation.
