“Where history meets sustainability, and service meets excellence”
BMA House is a stunning Grade II listed building; home to the British Medical Association and centrally located in fashionable Bloomsbury London. This beautiful red brick building was designed in 1911 by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. The design is neo-classical Palladian and incorporates Portland Stone facades, grand Archways, stone Corinthian Columns and Westmorland slate roofs. The building is centred on a courtyard with memorial fountain. Furthermore a private garden with pond can be found to the rear of the building; and provides a tranquil outdoor space for Events. The Garden is also famous for being the grounds to the house of Sir Charles Dickens where he is said to have written some of his most famous novels. BMA House underwent major refurbishment, completed in 2008, to lovingly restore its rooms in keeping with their original design and Grade II listed heritage
BMA House offers two tranquil outdoor spaces in central London, a rarity for the area, making it one of the capital's most sought-after summer party venues. The Courtyard, surrounded by impressive Grade II listed architecture and centred around a fountain, hosts up to 320 guests. The botanical Garden, planted with medicinal herbs, flowers and shrubs around a central pond, suits more intimate gatherings of up to 90. Both spaces are paired with an indoor area as a weather backup.
The 2026 Food Festival packages include venue hire, three street-food stalls served from converted vintage horse boxes (Indian street food, Dirty Hot Dog, plus pizza or arancini bowl food), four drinks per person from outdoor bars, summer games including table tennis and pool, garden furniture, AV and uplighters, a dedicated event planner, event security, and cloakroom. Optional add-ons include DJs, photo booths, magicians, caricaturists and Hackney Gelato.
Catering is provided by Company of Cooks using locally sourced, British-inspired menus. The venue is sustainably accredited and is six minutes' walk from Euston, twelve from St Pancras International.
