London is without doubt a capital well equipped to cater for every kind of
conference,
meeting or
event with an enormous selection of
venues to choose from.
However, delegates travelling via London City Airport and needing to conduct business nearby will find local venues equally well appointed to cater for their every requirement.
London City Airport is most easily accessible via the Docklands Light Railway service which links with both national rail stations and London Underground stations from which there are frequent shuttle buses to the airport, but is also easily reached via the M11/A11 or A12 by road.
The airport itself houses the Meridian Business Centre, a conference and training centre easily accessible to delegates with a tight schedule wishing to remain within the airport complex. There are however very close by a range of venues able to cater for a much broader spectrum of large or small-scale events. For example, large-scale conferences and events should without doubt convene at ExCel London, a state-of-the-art conference/exhibition centre and sporting venue boasting 100,000smq of flexible event space including London’s first International Convention Centre. With banqueting and conference suites, meeting rooms, event halls and a vast auditorium for up to 5,000 delegates, ExCel is an incomparable meeting destination. Charlton Athletic, a local sporting venue, is also one of the area’s largest conference and banqueting venues. Conference suites with capacity for up to 1,000 delegates are ideal for meetings, training and teambuilding events or exhibitions. Hotels with excellent conference facilities surround the area as with all airport locations. The Crowne Plaza London Docklandsand the Hilton London Docklands Riverside, a historic building comprising 26 versatile meeting rooms for up to 350 delegates, are just two examples of well-known brands relied upon to deliver exceptional meeting services and facilities.
