We took on GRATIS, a conference and accommodation booking tool, from The Venue Directory in December of 2007 as one of the trial companies. It appealed to us as maintaining venue data has always been a vital part of our role as an agency, but also a very time consuming process for us. I have to say the team and I are delighted with not only the system but the service we have received as well from all the team at The Venue Directory. The proposals that we send to our clients are more detailed than they have ever been and it means that we can have the most up to date information, which our clients really benefit from.

 

The system which controls the process from searching for venues, creating proposals and confirmations through to the financial management of the business has brought some efficiencies that we could not quantify before. I can now instantly see which clients we are currently working with and the nature and type of events that we are currently working on. I can also see which venues we are placing business with and work with those venues and groups to fine tune our relationship.

 

Good quality venue data is key in our business and to have a system like GRATIS which is linked to the Venue Directory, where venues can keep us, and our clients, up to speed with changes and refurbishments at their properties is a real benefit. The added advantage of having all the key information such as airport and motorway details, a selection of uniform images and highly detailed meeting room information in one place, just makes our life so much more efficient.
